SHRM MENA STAR (Sustainable and Transformational Achievement Recognition) Awards 2024, was a platform for organization’s to showcase achievements as HR professionals, teams, leaders, and employers. This is a recognition that SHRM acknowledges as “Going beyond HR” with a focus on ambition, drive, innovation, and outstanding results, demonstrating enterprise-wide success as a result of a future-focused HR strategy. 

These awards acknowledged HR teams and organizations that have worked passionately towards excellence in HR practices through constant innovation, agility in managing disruption, and excellence in people management while being aligned to business outcomes.

There were eight award categories this year and RAK Government HR Department participated in two of the categories- Leadership Development and HR technology. 

In this stiff competition with organizations across the MENA region participating, RAK Government HR Department has gained an award in both categories. Which represents a remarkable milestone in its journey to excellence 

In the Leadership development category, we received the prestigious Silver Award. We were recognized for our outstanding success in cultivating leadership talent through innovative and impactful leadership assessment and development initiatives. We in RAK Government HR department have implemented exceptional programs to identify, develop, and nurture leaders at all levels, ensuring a robust leadership pipeline and fostering a culture of continuous leadership growth.

In the HR Technology category, we received the prestigious Bronze Award We were recognized for our significant success in leveraging technology to enhance the productivity and effectiveness of human resources (HR) functions and how our employees are serviced by HR technology interventions. RAK Government HR department has implemented innovative HR technologies to streamline processes, improve employee experiences, and drive organizational efficiency, and optimize decision making.

In addition to these two awards SHRM MENA also gave RAK Government HR Department a Distinguished Recognition for Pioneering Growth in People and HR Potential Award. This award was bestowed upon HR department for it’s commendable work towards building capability of the employees in the Government and implementing best in class HR processes.

We as a department are committed to constantly working towards contributing to the success of the RAK Government by delivering exceptional HR practices.
