MoHRE Customer Council Explores Prospects For Enhancing Work Permit Issuance Process

MoHRE aims to streamline procedures and enhance experience for both employers and Emirati employees

The Customer Council at the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) convened to discuss improving the process for issuing work permits to UAE nationals in the private sector.

The meeting, which aimed to streamline procedures and enhance experience for both employers and Emirati employees, was attended by representatives from various companies and a number of Emiratis working in the private sector.

The session explored ways to achieve the highest standards of integration among government entities to provide proactive and comprehensive digital services for Emiratis working in the private sector, as well as their employers. This will be accomplished by establishing secure data sharing between MoHRE and key organisations, including the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs & Port Security; General Pension and Social Security Authority; Emirati Talent Competitiveness Council (ETCC); Abu Dhabi Pension Fund; Department of Health - Abu Dhabi; Emirates Health Services (EHS); and Dubai Health.

Discussions also focused on ways to unify the information and documents required by relevant authorities to ensure that all UAE nationals working in the private sector are registered in the country’s pension, retirement, and social security systems. It also aims to enhance the integration of digital systems to deliver fast and efficient services.

The Customer Council at the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation holds monthly sessions, each dedicated to discussing ways to improve a specific service offered by the Ministry. This aligns with MoHRE’s digital transformation efforts, its leadership in providing government services, and the objectives of the UAE’s Zero Government Bureaucracy Programme.
