In the interview Ammar shares his thoughts on why he forged ahead with his idea on using the medium of merging with UAE society through the lens of a taxi driver to give him insights on what expats and visitors thought about his home country.
Ammar recounts his story from approaching taxi companies with his proposal, the ins and outs of permissions to having to do the whole three months course with no concessions.
Ammar describes his experience as humbling, especially his freindship with fellow taxi drivers. Some of his passenger experiences were hilarious, with many expressing disbelief that he really was a local!
